Milwaukee Admirals Chicago Sport reviews
Admirals Hockey and the Badger Band...what could be better?
What a fun night at the Panther Arena with the game and the Badger Band. Parking (purchased through the Admirals site) at the ramp across the street was easy and reasonable ($14). We sat in the upper deck near the band and there isn't a bad seat in the house - we had a great view of the game. The food at this venue is really great, tasty, and reasonably priced! We enjoyed walking tacos and nachos and the glazed nuts - yum! The band added a lot of fun as did the shenanigans that went on during the game breaks (human hockey pucks, goal shoot out, etc.). The band playing the "4th period" on the ice was another highlight. I wish they hadn't flooded the rink with the glaring red light as it made it hard to see what was going on down there. The game didn't go our way, but this is a fun, family-friendly, and fairly inexpensive way to spend an evening.
Milwaukee Admirals
I enjoyed the overall experience with my son, our first AHL game in Milwaukee. The arena was easy to enter, no lines, spacious and clean for an old building, it took me back to the days of the Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo. The sightlines from the stands to the ice were all great. It was an entertaining back and forth action packed game. The in-between game presentation was ok, some good ideas but lacked they could have been transitioned and executed better. The human slingshot was something new I enjoyed. Overall it was a good experience and I will return for a game.
There's Always Something Happening
I took my daughter to her first hockey game with her friends in November.
We have been to at least one game a month ever since. She loves it! It has become her favorite winter sport. Her exact words to me that first night were "There's always something happening".
You need to pay attention to the game to appreciate it: staring at your phone won't do you any good. Once you let the energy of the crowd and the action of the game get into your system, Admirals Hockey is, in my opinion, one of the best entertainment values for your money in the entire city.
